Our previous intergenerational programs — including Family Camp, Grandparent Camp, and Women & Kids Week — are all merged into one fantastic all-inclusive program! People of all ages and families of all shapes and sizes come to camp together. Our intergenerational camps build an excitement for God, create meaningful faith practices you can continue at home, and invite you to play together in God’s amazing creation. You have time to both relax AND create memories as a family!
The program is all inclusive with meals, lodging, and quality Christ-centered activities for all ages led by energetic summer staff. As always, new and old friends are welcome!
Here’s a taste of what our Intergenerational campers will enjoy: Daytime activities include chapel, beach time, hikes, arts-n-crafts, outdoor games, fishing, boat rides, and river tubing. Morning Bible study groups will be broken down by age groups, and adults will be treated to a facilitator who will both inspire and challenge their faith while the kiddos engage with their peers led by Fortune Lake staff. Evening activities include all-camp games, singing around the campfire, making s’mores, and star gazing.

Bringing the Stories of Jesus to Life Before Your Eyes
Paul Oman, artist and pastor, shares his Drawn to the Word artistic ministry with audiences across the country and around the world. He served first as a teacher, then Lutheran pastor when, in 2011, he took up work as an artistic pastor full-time.
Paul seeks to give new vision to God’s Word by using the process of painting to captivate audiences in our visually oriented cultures. Painting and drawing have been a part of Paul’s life since childhood. Receiving national & international recognition for his work, Paul uses his gift of painting to proclaim the Gospel unique and powerful ways that bring the Word of God to life before your eyes.
Paul works with congregations, schools, universities, seminaries, camps, prisons, non-profits, and more. The larger-than-life sized paintings are painted with acrylics on stretched canvas.
Paul lives near Amery, Wisconsin with his wife, Jana and their children.
Throughout this week you will hear AND SEE the stories and dramatic encounters of Jesus come to life before your eyes as Paul paints on large-scale canvases while he teaches. We will explore the often overlooked meanings of these stories in our Western world culture as we consider how they were understood and experienced “through Middle Eastern eyes” in the time of Jesus. Paul will often refer to the Biblical and theological work of Kenneth Bailey who spent a lifetime in the Holy Land and surrounding regions teaching the Scriptures out of the cultures from which they derived. Music, dramatic readings and sound effects will accompany portions of the painting process.
Bring a Bible and be ready to see these familiar stories become new again! You will have opportunities to actively participate at your own comfort level throughout the week. No artistic experience is necessary whatsoever. This will be an unforgettable experience in the Word.
