Congregational Day Camp

FLLC at your congregations is much fun!

This unique partnership between congregations and camp provides a solid way to build relationships in your congregation and community while growing together in faith!

Day Camp is Fortune Lake’s version of Vacation Bible School, facilitated by our summer staff, and hosted by your congregation.  Our young adult staff bring faith to life through lively songs, creative projects, interactive games, and engaging Bible studies.

We find that the best Day Camps are creative and collaborative. Let’s think OUTSIDE of the box and the building!

  • Worried about having enough kids?  Consider partnering with other congregations in your region!  Perhaps other ELCA churches are interested, or be bold and ask other denominational neighbors!  Make sure all of the families in your neighborhood get a personal invitation.
  • Try moving most – if not all – of your programming outside! Kids love being outdoors, and our staff love it too! The FLLC staff would enjoy facilitating day camp at a local park or nature preserve. After all, we do outdoor ministry all summer!
  • Not sure if you’ll get enough volunteers during the day? Think about offering day camp in the evenings. This may make it more accessible for working families. Why not start your time together with dinner?
  • FLLC is prepared to have conversations with you about other innovative ideas you have. Let’s create together!
