Fortune Lake invites all adults to participate in our Nature Inspired Wellness Retreat! This retreat has both 3-day (September 13-15) and 4-day (September 12-15) options so everyone can find what they need, whether that be a quick, relaxing weekend getaway or a more extended retreat. This retreat is in partnership with Pam Roose of Inspiring Roots, LLC, and we are thrilled to bring you another year of programming.
This year, Pam will enlighten us about blue zones—regions known for their residents’ exceptional longevity, often surpassing 100 years. During our stay at Fortune Lake, we’ll explore what contributes to this remarkable longevity. Through immersive experiences like yoga and Tai Chi sessions to nurture both physical and mental well-being, engaging sourdough workshops to discover the benefits of wholesome foods, rejuvenating massages and soothing saunas for relaxation and stress reduction, vibrant belly dancing sessions for joyful movement and community connection, and savoring delicious, nourishing meals that mirror the balanced diets typical of these regions, we’ll absorb the essence of these lifestyles. Our aim is not only to learn about blue zones but also to actively integrate their practices into our own lives, fostering greater health and happiness.

What to Bring
This retreat will include opportunities for various forms of exercise. Participants are encouraged to bring active clothing, a yoga mat if they have one, a swimsuit and towel for sauna/swimming, and some other supplies that will be outlined over email prior to the event.
Schedule
The retreat will conclude on Sunday, September 15th at around 11 am CT.
MEALS: Snacks will be provided Thursday evening; breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Friday and Saturday, breakfast on Sunday.

Price includes lodging, meals, programming. Full retreat registration payment will be charged when you register. This allows camp to do the best planning for staffing, meals and so forth, for the correct number of attendees!

Registration
Registration is open Friday, May 20 through Monday, September 2, 2024 at 11:59 PM.
Registration fees are non-refundable after the Registration Deadline of Sept 2, 2024. Cancellation requests received by the posted Registration Deadline will be refunded minus a $25 administrative charge.
