Senior Day

Senior Day is a wonderful way to reconnect with old friends and make a few new ones along the way. Come and join us for a day of conversation, delicious food, and fun!
Dates:
- Monday, September 9: Foraging at Fortune Lake
Pastor Soren Schmidt will teach about identifying local flora, what is safe to use and eat, and more. We’ll all discover how to further enjoy nature’s bounty! - Monday, November 18: Thanksgiving Meal
Together we’ll prepare, cook, and feast on a homemade spread for a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Come prepared to peel, chop, and enjoy the tastes of the season, all in great company! - Monday, January 13: Local historian Bill Cummings shares his thorough research on the history of the Ku Klux Klan in this region
- Monday, March 10: Craig Kitchen invites us to experience the wonders of singing bowls and gongs.
- Monday, May 12: Tesha Perez Soto shares about Mexican culture, and we share in an authentic Mexican lunch
Each Senior Day begins at 10 am CT and wraps up by 2pm CT. The program varies but generally includes the following:
- 10:00 am – Arrival and check-in, coffee and fellowship time
- 10:15 am – Devotion & announcements
- 10:30 am – Presentation morning session
- 12:00 pm – Lunch
- 1:00 pm – Presentation afternoon session
$15 donation* per participant is requested to cover the cost of food.
* The suggested donation has increased to cover the increasing cost of food and kitchen labor. Please don’t let this dissuade you from coming; all are welcome regardless of ability to donate.
