Nature Inspired: Fall Wellness Retreat (3-day and 4-day options!)

Fortune Lake invites all adults to participate in our Nature Inspired Wellness Retreat! This retreat has both 3-Day and 4-Day options so everyone can find what they need, whether that be a quick, relaxing weekend getaway or a more extended retreat. This retreat is in partnership with Pam Roose of Inspiring Roots, LLC.

This year, Pam will explore the theme “Rooted Together” with the group. The group will learn about root vegetables and their many applications and health benefits as well as the importance of fiber in our diets. We’ll delve into nutrition, practice movement, and explore changes that can be made to our own lifestyles to improve our health and wellbeing. Participants will also lean into the theme of “Rooted Together” by learning about the benefits of living in community while creating their own micro-community with other attendees of the retreat. Other highlights will include yoga sessions, wellness workshops, opportunities to experience the beautiful nature surrounding Fortune Lake, optional massages, delicious food, hot saunas, and more! 

Participants are encouraged to bring active clothing, a yoga mat if they have one, a swimsuit and towel for sauna/swimming, and some other supplies that will be outlined over email prior to the event. 

Schedule:  Check-in Thursday 6:00 pm CT; retreat will conclude Sunday 11 am CT. A more detailed schedule will be provided prior to arrival.

Considering the extra day but unsure if it’s for you? 

Participants of the 4-day experience will enjoy additional instruction from Pam based around the theme, an off-site hike, and additional workshop about energetic awareness and connecting to nature, and more time to enjoy the beauty of Fortune Lake. This option also provides more time to explore items that will be offered all weekend long such as time on the waterfront, delicious meals, yoga, massage, and more.

Meals*: An evening snack will be provided Thursday evening; breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Friday and Saturday, breakfast on Sunday.  

*Please notify us at least one week in advance about any food allergies, and include details on your registration/health form.

Lodging: Choose between one of our retreat lodges or our duplexes – all of which include a bathroom and a kitchen.

To bring: Comfortable weather-appropriate active clothing and footwear, a yoga mat (if available), swimsuit, towel, personal toiletries, flashlight, and bedding if necessary. A detailed packing list will be included in pre-retreat communications.

Lodging & Pricing

Choose retreat lodges or duplexes – any of which include a bathroom and a kitchen. Staff will assign participants to the lodge that best suits the needs of the group. Due to the popularity of this retreat, we are not able to offer single retreat rooms. Those who do not indicate a roommate request will be assigned one by the camp office. Those who require single rooms are encouraged to register as a commuter and to seek local accommodations.

Full retreat registration payment will be charged when you register.  Cancellation requests received by the posted registration deadline will be refunded minus a $25 administrative charge. Registration fees are non-refundable after the registration deadline of September 1, 2025. Fortune Lake welcomes all participants!  If cost is a concern, please feel free to contact our main office to discuss scholarships.
