It’s here! The Summer Camp 2024 schedule is ready!

Hot off the press is a fantastic array of faith-filled fun! More information will follow as we update our website and get brochures ready for print. Registration opens January 2. For now, dream about your favorite programs, invite your friends, and save the dates for the best summer at Fortune Lake yet!
New this year: Treehouse Adventures (grades 7-12), Evergreen Camp (adults age 55+), as well as a Water Week or Nature Week focus for our classic programs.
As always, all are welcome at Fortune Lake, and camperships are available for those who need financial assistance.

Giving Tuesday – T200 monthly donor MATCHING opportunity!

Fortune Lake invites you to multiply your gift this Giving Tuesday week!
We are partnering with Thrivent’s Northbound Group and Board Member Alexandra Eisenberger to offer a significant matching opportunity! Tenacious 200 is Fortune Lake’s monthly giving program that allows donors to give any amount they choose to ongoing ministry needs. During the week of Giving Tuesday, November 27 – December 1, for every new or increased Tenacious 200 donor, Thrivent Northbound will donate an additional $50! What an amazing way to increase the impact and help ensure that camp remains affordable for all people for years to come!

Senior Day Thanksgiving: November 13, 10 am – 2 pm CT

Fortune Lake’s annual Senior Day Thanksgiving Feast is just around the corner on Monday, November 13! Senior adults are invited to join us for a day of food preparation, camaraderie, feasting, and giving thanks.
The festivities begin at 10 am CT when participants will divy out the responsibilites for preparing the meal. Once everything is ready, we’ll dine together at a large table. The day will close with a short Thanksgiving program and an opportunity to give thanks to God.

Mission, Vision, Core Values & Welcome Statement Updated

Our Board of Directors met on October 27 to update Fortune Lake’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values, as well as to approve a new Welcome Statement. THANK YOU to all who participated in any way. Your generosity helps sustain outdoor ministry at Fortune Lake Lutheran Camp, keeping our programs financially accessible. We thank God for you!

We are excited to hear from special guest Cynthia Halverson from the ELCA Foundation as well as some of our local Thrivent representatives.

Senior Days 2023-24 beginning September 14

Senior Days at Fortune Lake are back for 2023-24!

Join us for the first one on Monday, September 14 from 10-2 pm CT.

This Senior Day will feature a presentation from Pastor Jon Magnuson, Director of The Cedar Tree Institute in Marquette. His focus will be on “The Gift of Water,” celebrating the lands and waters of the U.P. After lunch, we will go down to the waters of Fortune Lake to see the new dock and enjoy a pontoon ride.

Fall Fest 2023: October 7 from 9:30 am – Noon CT

Fortune Lake’s Annual Fall Fest is almost here! Make plans to join us on Saturday, October 7 for a day of fundraising and celebration! Continental breakfast begins on 9:30 am CT in the Dining Hall, with a bake sale, Draffle (drawing/raffle), Country Store, and a LIVE Auction of juried quilts to follow.

Talent Show & Campfire on Friday, August 4

All are welcome for a Talent Show and Campfire at Fortune Lake!

Everyone is invited to a camp-style Talent Show and Campfire on Friday, August 4 at Fortune Lake! The event will start at 6:30pm CT in the Chapel and will feature music, skits, dance, jokes, and more shared by the Fortune Lake Staff and those gathered. After the talent show, we’ll moved to a campfire site (weather permitting) for camp songs and s’mores.
All are welcome! A freewill offering will be taken in support of Summer Staff Scholarships. Call or email 906-214-2267 or campdirector@fortunelake.org to RSVP so we can plan accordingly.

S’more Room in August 6-9 Camp!

Join us at camp August 6-9!

We still have s’more room in our final youth program of the summer, and we’d be thrilled to fill the spots with fun-loving kids! There’s 2-night Mighty Ones for kiddos grades 1-2*, 3-night Mini Camp for those grades 2-3*, or 3-night Mash Ups for those grades 4-8*.
