Whether you are a parent\, grandparent\, baptism sponsor\, or congregational member committed to showing up\, you can help provide faith formation experiences that help shape healthy brain development. \nJonathan will lead the adults through a Lutheranism series\, using Daniel Erlander’s Baptized We Live book. He’ll touch on Lutheran theology\, history\, and music. \nDawn and Jonathan Rundman were FLLC campers in the late ’70s and ’80s\, and worked on FLLC staff in the late ’80s and early ’90s. Dawn grew up at Bethany Lutheran Church in Escanaba\, and Jonathan grew up at Bethel Lutheran Church in Ishpeming. \nDR. His critically acclaimed songs have been highlighted in publications such as Billboard\, The New York Times\, and Christian Century\, and have received radio airplay from coast to coast and in Europe. \nJonathan’s songs have been used as programmatic theme music for regional and national Youth Gatherings. His songs “By Grace We Have Been Saved” and “For Such A Time As This” appear in the new Lutheran hymnal supplement All Creation Sings. Congregations across the country use his Heartland Liturgy for their church services. He also wrote “Hymn For Fortune Lake” for the 80th anniversary of FLLC in 2010. \nIn 2022 Jonathan Rundman graduated from Luther Seminary\, and now serves as Pastor of Worship and Music at Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church\, in Prior Lake\, MN. \n\n5-Night Pricing\n\nDuplex lodging is now closed. SUMMARY:Vagabonds (Half Week)
DESCRIPTION:Completed Grades 5-6\n \nOffered: \n\nJune 28 – July 1 (Half Week)\nJuly 5 – 10 (Full Week)\nJuly 12 – 17 (Full Week)\n\nVagabonds experience camp the way it was meant to be – in the great outdoors! Vagabonds sleep in rustic* tree houses outfitted with bunk beds. \nOur Vagabond program teaches valuable skills about living in community. Campers gain self-esteem and confidence as they help to prepare many of their own meals over an open fire. Ask any Vagabond about their tree house group’s Vagland stew… I bet it was the best! Vagland is is also home to Fortune Lake’s gaga pit and carpetball game\, so many hours are spent honing their skills. \nHighlights of the program include a tube trip on the Paint River (conditions permitting)\, Vagland chapel services\, and special night games. Tree houses fill up quickly for this popular program! \nThis program runs concurrently with the half-week Mini Camp\, Villagers\, and Venturers\, so it’s perfect for sending sibling groups at the same time. Campers from different programs will occasionally interact at all-camp games and chapel\, but they will still have plenty of space to grow on their own. \n*Vagland has a bathhouse with electricity\, running water\, and toilets.  \nMore Information:\n\nYouth Camp Guide\n\n\nPrice:\n\n$335/person\n\nPlease note: We never wish to turn away anyone for financial reasons. If your child would like to attend camp and cost is a concern\, please complete our Campership Application or call 906-214-2267 or email  officemanager@fortunelake.org for information.
