DESCRIPTION:Completed Grades 6-8\nOffered: \n\nJuly 19 – 24\nJuly 26 – 31\n\nCampers sleep all day in the tree houses and play all night! As the week goes on\, they’ll gradually stay up later and later until experiencing an all-nighter on Wednesday. That unique opportunity ends with a sunrise sauna and polar bear swim. Then\, campers try to reset their sleep patterns before heading home on Friday! \nA week as a Night Owl increases self-confidence as campers cook over an open fire\, explore camp at night\, and make new friends. Moonlit adventures include stargazing\, lunch at midnight\, private late night arts-n-crafts sessions\, and canteen at unusual hours. This program takes special campers\, and we sure love our Night Owls! \nDue to popular demand\, there will be TWO Jr. High Night Owl sessions in 2026! Older campers who love this program can participate in Sr. High Night Owls June 21-26. \nConfirmation groups are welcome\, and pastors are encouraged to attend with their youth. DESCRIPTION:Families of all ages\nIntergenerational campers come in all shapes\, sizes\, ages. We have multi-generational families\, Godparents and Godchildren\, single adults\, and grandparents and grandkids\, and everything in between. \nOur Intergenerational Camp program is all inclusive with meals\, lodging\, and quality Christ-centered activities for all ages led by energetic summer staff. \nIf you want to experience Jesus’s love in intentional community with your family\, this experience is for you! Our intergenerational camps build an excitement for God\, create meaningful faith practices you can continue at home\, and invite you to play together in God’s amazing creation. You have time to both relax AND create memories as a family! \nHere’s a taste of what our Intergenerational campers will enjoy: campfire worship\, beach time\, hikes\, Arts-n-Crafts\, outdoor games\, fishing\, boat rides\, river tubing\, s’mores\, and stargazing. Morning Bible study groups will be broken down by age groups\, and adults will be treated to a facilitator who will both inspire and challenge their faith while the kiddos engage with their peers. \nThere is so much outdoor fun to be had! Born and raised in Laurium\, he spent his summers in the 1990s as a camper at Fortune Lake from Faith Lutheran\, Calumet\, and worked on the FLLC summer staff from 2000-2003. \nToday\, with a PhD in theology\, Isaac teaches at Saint Louis University and serves as the Theologian-in-Residence for St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Ladue\, Missouri. DESCRIPTION:Completed Grades K – 5\nExplore all the fun of camp without staying overnight. This is a great opportunity to introduce local youth to camp!\n \nOffered:\n\nJuly 20 – 23\nJuly 27 – 30\n\nFour action-packed days include chapel\, lunch\, games\, swimming\, Bible activities\, picnics\, crafts\, and more! Campers stay with the same group all week\, led by experienced staff members who know how to engage them in fun opportunities meant to grow their faith and sense of wonder. Their days will be full\, spent almost exclusively outside\, playing active community-building games\, splashing in the shallow end at the beach (under the supervision of certified lifeguards)\, making themed projects at arts-n-crafts\, and building friendships with other local kids. SUMMARY:Evergreen Camp
DESCRIPTION:For Adults age 55+\nAn all inclusive program for adults age 55+. This program is “Choose Your Own Adventure\,”  meaning participants partake in the activities of interest to them. Enjoy three nights/four days of interactive presenters\, pontoon rides\, paddle sports\, pickle ball\, Tai Chi\, campfires\, card games\, meaningful worship experiences and as much social time as you want! \n2024 was the first year for Evergreen Camp\, and participants had a fantastic time! Now our staff can’t wait for our Evergreen campers to return and bring their friends for our third consecutive year. \nMore Information:\n\nEvergreen Camp Guide\n\n\nCamp Pastor\nEvergreen Bible Study Leader\, Pastor Sharolyn Swenson is the NGLS Assistant to the Bishop and Director of Evangelical Mission. She grew up in central Texas\, as a life-long Lutheran\, and moved to the UP in January of 2025. She continues to delight in God’s wit and wisdom in the seasons\, snow\, forests\, lakes\, moss\, creatures and people of her new home.  \nSharolyn has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture\, a graduate certificate in the Spiritual Guidance of Children (General Seminary of the Episcopal Church); a Master of Divinity from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary\, and spent a “Lutheran Year” at Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago.  Her lifelong love of ecology\, creation care\, gardening\, and camping\, continue to reveal God’s unity and diversity of life. She has been a Godly Play storyteller\, practitioner\, and trainer since 1996\, when the oldest of her three daughters was two. Listening to God and God’s children\, continues to inform her vocational path of new adventures.  \nThe Evergreen bible study time will expand on the theme of being clothed with compassion\, kindness\, humility\, quiet strength\, and discipline…woven together in garments\, tents\, and armor\, and those who make them. If you have a special item of clothing…a lucky sweatshirt or socks…wear it! If you have a cherished heirloom garment\, bring it!
