They sleep in bunk beds in our Village cabins with a trained Cabin Leader and a group of other same aged campers. With opportunities for swimming*\, boating\, playing games\, arts-n-crafts\, a beach party\, and singing songs\, campers will stay active from morning ‘til night! \nA week as a Villager will help your child grow in faith\, build friendships\, gain confidence and learn independence. They’ll learn to come together as a group with kids they don’t know while navigating new experiences together. Typical highlights include giggling in the cabin\, savoring snacks from the canteen\, devouring s’mores at the beach party\, and making projects in arts-n-crafts. They will come home with a pile of dirty laundry\, sharing stories from camp and the Bible! \n*Please note that this is the first program during which campers are eligible to take the swim test. Those who pass have the opportunity to swim in the deep end. It’s a major milestone and achievement for many campers. However\, there is still plenty of fun to be had in the shallow end\, sand\, and on watercraft for campers who do not opt to take the swim test or do not pass. DESCRIPTION:Completed Grades 2-3\n \nExperience three awesome nights at camp as a great introduction to Fortune Lake! Campers sleep in bunk beds in Village cabins with a trained Cabin Leader and a small group of cabin mates. They enjoy the shallow end at the waterfront (under the supervision of certified lifeguards)\, create crafts\, play group games\, sing songs\, things\, make friends\, and gain confidence\, all while learning about Jesus! \nThis is a great first taste of camp (or a next step after Mighty Ones) for those who are gaining independence. They can come on their own or with a friend… there will be plenty of new friends waiting to welcome campers when they arrive. DESCRIPTION:Completed Grades 3-9\nThis week of camp is for those who love to be creative! \nArt Camp is a unique blend of art and traditional camp activities. Campers will still enjoy many of the fun things camp has to offer like swimming\, chapel\, Bible activities\, games\, canteen and campfires. They’ll also spend a large chunk of their day focusing on art! \nSkilled volunteer art instructors and summer staff teach techniques and oversee projects while campers use different media to create art and express themselves! Projects may include clay\, drawing\, painting\, beadwork\, or textiles. Campers get set for a week of building friendships\, faith and fun! \nLEGO camp is a unique blend of LEGO building and traditional camp activities. Campers will still enjoy many of the fun things camp has to offer like swimming\, chapel\, Bible study\, games\, canteen and campfires. They’ll also spend time each day building\, designing\, and creating with LEGO bricks! \nLEGO campers can participate in 1-2 afternoon building sessions each day. There will be group challenges\, individual projects\, and recreating Biblical scenes.
