SUMMARY:Renew & Restore: Young Adult Retreat
DESCRIPTION:For Young Adults (Ages 18-35\, must be HS grad)\n \nFortune Lake invites all adults ages 18-35 to our Renew & Restore Young Adult Retreat! This unique retreat provides an opportunity to unplug\, rest\, and recharge with intentional time set apart from your daily schedule.  \nOur retreat schedule will include sessions on the many facets of self care\, opportunities to spend time in the natural beauty of Fortune Lake\, self-guided activities such as arts ‘n’ crafts and saunas\, optional worships\, and a community-centric approach to the weekend. While our full schedule is still developing\, highlights from years past include snowshoe hikes\, singing bowl and gong baths\, workshops about boundaries\, various sessions about mindfulness\, games and conversation in the evenings\, and a collaborative campfire worship. \nThis year\, Pastor J Mills will walk with us throughout the weekend and will facilitate sessions about caring for our mental health and the many ways it can manifest in our lives. In addition to serving as the spiritual leader at Bethany Lutheran in Ishpeming\, Pastor J is a trained youth crisis counselor serving an international youth crisis hotline operated by the Trevor Project\, focused on justice and equity for LGBTQIA2S+ youth. He is also a trained End-of-life Doula through the International End-of-Life Doula Association (INELDA)\, specializing in walking with communities experiencing death and dying. We’re thrilled to have him here at camp with us for the weekend! \nOur adult retreats lean into a “choose your own adventure” model\, meaning we encourage participants to attend sessions that resonate with them and take advantage of the variety of self-guided activities available throughout the weekend. This retreat is intended to connect people with a community of other young adults and send them home with a renewed sense of energy and more insight into how to better care for themselves. A full schedule will be shared closer to the retreat\, but anyone with questions is encouraged to reach out to our Guest Services Coordinator\, Charlotte\, for more information by calling the camp office at (906)214-2267 or by emailing hospitality@fortunelake.org \nCost: \nThis year we’re pivoting to a tiered payment model. As this retreat grows\, our hope is to keep it sustainable by allowing those who are able to contribute to the cost of the event to do so. Registrants are encouraged to select the option that works best for them. Fortune Lake invites everyone to attend\, regardless of their ability to pay. Questions about pricing can be directed to Guest Services Coordinator\, Charlotte\, in the camp office.  \n\n\n\nTier 1\n$30\nWe want everyone to be able to come to camp\, regardless of their financial situation! This deeply discounted rate is intended to provide an affordable path to the young adult retreat.\n\n\nTier 2\n$95\nThe $95 rate covers about half the cost of lodging and meals for the retreat experience.\n\n\nTier 3\n$190\nThis rate allows us to cover the cost of lodging and meals for your retreat experience.\n\n\nTier 4\n$280\nThis option is for those who are willing and able to pay for their own retreat experience and then some to help break down barriers for others who would like to attend the retreat. \n\n\n\nLodging Options: \nParticipants will be lodged in either Emanuel Lodge\, Grace Lodge\, or one of our duplex cabins. Roommate requests can be made during the registration process. Individuals will be assigned to a lodging space upon registration\, starting with the retreat lodges. Once Emanuel and Grace Lodges are full\, participants will be assigned to a duplex. Be sure to claim your spot early! \nSchedule Overview:\nCheck-in Friday night at 6 pm CST. The retreat will conclude at 11 am CST on Sunday. \nTo bring: Comfortable weather-appropriate clothing and footwear including outdoor gear\, personal toiletries\, flashlights\, Bibles etc! \nMeals:\nA snack will be provided on Friday night\, all meals will be served Saturday\, and brunch will be served Sunday prior to departure. \n\nRegistration\n\nPrice/payment details: \n\nSeeing new tiered pricing above\, and select the tier that’s most appropriate for you.\nFull retreat registration payment will be charged when you register.\nLodging\, meals\, and programming are included in your registration fee; it is all-inclusive.\nCancellation requests are non-refundable after the registration deadline of March 20. This allows camp to do the best planning for staffing\, meals and so forth\, for the correct number of attendees!\n\nRegistration and Payment DEADLINE: March 5\, 2026 by 11:59 pm CST
